Rushford Cottage Rental F.A.Q.

Q. Are there any dock spaces available to bring my own boat?
A. At this time there is no current dock space, Inquiries can be made for possible space in future. Boats can be launch for a fee at the boat launch owned and managed by Rushford Lake Recreation District. Canoes or Kayaks can be put in on site.

Q. Can I have guests during the day as long as they don't stay the night?
A. No guests are permitted beyond those registered to be in the cottages. No exceptions.

Q. Is there any flexibility on the check-in and check-out times?
A. You must check-in between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. Late arrivals must make arrangements in advance. We cannot permit late checkouts, as our staff needs the time to prepare for the next guest.

Q. Do you allow pets?
A. While we all love our pets, there are some people that have serious allergies to pets. We allow pets only in Dew Drop Inn. There is a $300 deposit to cover any potential damages, but this is fully refundable after cottage is inspected and no damage is found.

Q. How far are cottages from the lake?
A. All cottages are a few hundred yards from the lake. Mystic Lodge is the closest and has great views of the lake. Shaker of Salt has views of the lake from the porch and living room area.

Q. Can we swim in the lake?
A. There is a fast drop off in the lake and there is a swimming ladder that can be used by experienced swimmers. This is not a good spot for the inexperienced or for children to go swimming. There is a public beach about 2 miles away.
